Prichard Police respond to Blount High School

On February 14, 2008, at approximately 1126 hrs Prichard Police Department responded to Mattie Thomas Blount High School located at 5650 Lott Rd. in reference to a fight in progress call. When officers arrived on the scene, they found a 17 year old student suffering from a laceration to the head in the school courtyard area. The student was transported to the USA Hospital Emergency Room.

A second student was transported to the Prichard Police Department Criminal Investigation Division for questioning. Assault 2nd Degree charges are pending investigation. Detectives are working the investigation along with the District Attorneys Office. All questions are to be referred to the Mobile County School System, Public Information Officer.
