            PHASE II OF OPERATION EYE SORE

     

Prichard, AL (February 14, 2008) –Sunday, February 17, 2008, The City of Prichard will continue it’s efforts to remove the blight from the city by conducting phase eleven of “Operation Eye Sore” the Prichard Police, the Prichard Environmental Department along with Pitts and Sons towing company will be removing cars that have failed to acknowledge the 45 day notice in this ongoing initiative. The “Operation Eye Sore” task force will leave the Prichard Police department starting at 8am and will be pulling cars that are not in compliance until 12pm. Major M. Whitfield will heading this operation and report that a total of 140 vehicles have been tagged with this 45 day notice. Any media personnel that are interested in riding along with PPD will need to be at the Prichard Police department by 8am. Please advise if you are interested in this photo opportunity.

Phase II of Operation Eye Sore has been completed.  Thanks to the citizens of Prichard! Of the140 cars tagged, only 14 were not in compliance. The coming together of a community by following the guidelines and regulations of the city are resulting in substantial improvements our city.
