Prichard police respond to robbery

On April 11, 2008, at approximately 1100 am the Prichard Police Department Narcotic & Intelligence Unit along with the assistance of the Special Response Team, executed a narcotic search warrant on Montgomery Ave in the Happy Hill area. The search warrant was the result of a two month undercover investigation.

Michael Anthony Smith B/M 01/11/1974, was under investigation for the illegal sell of marijuana, CDs and ecstasy pills. Some of the illegal transactions and use was done in the presence of a 4 and 8 year old toddler.

Investigators seized regular marijuana, hydroponic marijuana, ecstasy pills, bootleg cd’s, computer equipment, U.S. Currency and a 2000 Ford Crown Victoria.

        On April 11, 2008 Michael D Reese B/M 08/09/1976, a Prichard Most Wanted fugitive turned himself into the Prichard Police Department. The subject turned himself in after seeing his image on electronic media and in a local (Prichard) city paper.
