In response to the complaints generated by the citizens of Prichard Alabama, in reference to public nuisances such as loitering, prostitution and drugs. A special detail was implemented on March 28, 2008, between the 1700 hrs and 0100 hrs. The operation consisted of surveillance and undercover officers posing as johns and prostitutes.
Areas of Coverage
• Hwy 45 (Prichard Ave to Lott Rd.)
• Telegraph Rd (Meaher St to Haig St.)
• Chastang Ave @ Owen St.
• All service stations in these areas were targeted.
Arrest Made
1. Jana Hamblin W/F 08/24/1967 Charges: Loitering / Poss. of Drug Paraphernalia / Obstruction of Justice using False Name / Probation Violation Warrant / Possession of Cocaine Warrant. Subject has been identified as an area prostitute.
2. Shawanda Montgomery B/F 07/21/1977 Charges: Loitering / Drug Paraphernalia. Subject has been identified as an area prostitute.
3. Vivian Williams B/F 01/20/1959 Charges: Prostitution, subject has been arrested in two prior undercover operation.
4. Polly Dixon W/F 11/29/1960 Charges: Loitering, Subject has been identified as an area prostitute.
5. Diana Dees W/F 10/19/1974 Charges: Loitering, Subject has been identified as an area prostitute.
6. Alvin Keith Mccants B/M 04/19/1968 Charges: Loitering / Resisting Arrest / Drug Paraphernalia.
7. Horace Rodgers B/M 11/05/1973 Charges: Soliciting Prostitution.
8. Cedric Taylor B/M 01/24/1976 Charges: Soliciting Prostitution.
9. Carlton Todd B/M 08/11/1988 Charges: Possession of Crack Cocaine / No Pistol Permit.
10. Demarcus Todd B/M 11/13/1986 Charges: Possession of Crack Cocaine / No Pistol Permit.
