Third Citizen Academy Graduation

Wednesday night gave way to another proud graduating class.  The City of Prichard Police Department graduated its third Citizen Academy class, which consisted of 8-members.  The class started out with twelve, but due to unforeseen circumstances four participants had to drop the class and they will resume in the next session.

The participants learned and engaged in activities such as report writing, ride alongs, firearm safety, and horse back riding with the Mounted unit to issues concerning domestic violence. The class president was our own, Mrs. Alisa Davis wife of Mayor Ron Davis. At the end of the 10-weeks each participant gained valuable knowledge concerning issues of the inner workings of the police department.
