What is Leadership Prichard?

Leadership Prichard is a program in Prichard, AL designed to give community leaders a better understanding of the city’s history and current issues.

The purpose of this program is to attract new businesses and create a network of business contacts for the City of Prichard.

Participants in Leadership Prichard will learn about the city’s assets and help officials develop a strategic plan for economic and community development by working on solutions to some of the problems facing Prichard such as crime, drug activity, blighted housing, overgrown lots, and poverty.

The program will run for six (6) months from April-October and have approximately 10 to 15 participants.  Members of this program will attend an orientation focusing on economic development, community development, education, and landmarks in the city.  The members will meet with various speakers and business leaders in the area.  The members also go on tours throughout the city, attend seminars and workshops to bring ideas to the group for the current project.
