Leadership Prichard Overview

Leadership Prichard is a community leadership program, sponsored by the City of Prichard and the local business community, designed to recognize and attract leaders who are committed to making a difference in the Prichard community. The primary goal of the Leadership Prichard initiative is to encourage, develop and strengthen the community leadership infrastructure in order to enhance the quality of life for the citizens of Prichard.

This six-month program invites leaders from the Prichard area to explore issues in education, economic development, governmental policy, and public safety with leading experts in these respective fields. Through presentations and discussions led by invited speakers, class participants become more acquainted with the various public and private initiatives established to meet the challenges facing Prichard today and in the future.

To be considered for this program, respective candidates must either reside within the city of Prichard, or provide professional or social services within the Prichard area. Additionally, potential candidates must exhibit skills in community problem solving, have an understanding of community needs, and possess the capacity to address community issues.
