Inaugural Leadership Prichard Class Celebrates Graduation

On Wednesday, October 11, 2006, the 2006 inaugural class of Leadership Prichard culminated its six month intensive program with a graduation ceremony held at the Prichard Municipal Complex. This event, sponsored by the City of Prichard and area businesses, introduced the recent graduates of the 2006 leadership class. The 2006 class is made up of eleven area leaders that either reside within the Prichard community or serve as a community resource provider to Prichard and the surrounding area.
The purpose of the Leadership Prichard initiative is to equip established and emerging leaders with a better awareness of the issues impacting the Prichard community. Additionally, this program is designed to develop a partnership combining the interests of citizens, local leaders and governmental officials that share a common vision focusing on Prichard’s community and economic development future.
The 2006 participants were joined at the graduation ceremony by guest speaker Ralph Stacy, President and CEO of the Chamber of Commerce Association of Alabama and Ron Davis, Mayor of the City of Prichard.
