Home Vestors Partners With City of Prichard for Operation Eyesore Alternative
MOBILE, Ala. (March 13, 2007) – Local franchises for HomeVestors of America, better known as the “We Buy Ugly Houses” company, have teamed up with Mayor Ron Davis and the City of Prichard’s Operation Eyesore campaign to offer a solution to residents with dilapidated homes that they cannot afford to repair.
Vacant and rundown homes that are targeted by Operation Eyesore risk being demolished if they go unrepaired. But in cooperation with the City’s efforts to improve residential areas, HomeVestors will buy houses in as-is condition from homeowners looking to sell and will assume the rehab of the properties to meet the City’s guidelines.
“This program gives us a chance to help people out of an ugly real estate situation,” said Steve Brown, of Cash 4 Houses L.L.C., a local HomeVestors franchise. “In turn, we handle the costs and labor needed for repairs, and we put beautiful homes back on the market to breathe new life into the communities.”
HomeVestors also will offer rehabbed homes to first-time homebuyers through a special partnership with Bank of America.
“This is a fantastic program, allowing people to achieve the American Dream of homeownership that they may have thought was impossible,” said Brown.
