Our Mission:

The Environmental Department's Mission is to develop partnerships with residents and business owners in an effort to improve the quality of life for those who live and do business within the City of Prichard. Our aim is to enforce a certain level of compliance to city and state laws, while providing the residents with a safe, clean, and healthy environment.

Responsibilites:

The EED is required to enforce a variety of Municipal Ordinances and State Laws, namely.

Dilapidated structures

Weed abatement

Abandoned vehicles

Solid waste

Illegal dumping

License/Permit violations

Zoning ordinance violations
