2008 BUSINESS LICENSE RENEWALS
Please be advised that any business that has not renewed your
business license for 2008 is now subjected to a 25% penalty fee.
After July 1, 2008, that penalty fee will increase to 50%

CITY OF PRICHARD SALES TAX COLLECTION
Effective immediately the Alabama Department of Revenue will
no longer be collecting Sales and Use Taxes for the City of
Prichard. The City of Prichard has contacted Revenue Discovery
Systems (RDS)/AlaTax to collect all Sale/Use Taxes. If you are
currently paying taxes to the City of Prichard you should have
received a notification from the Alabama Department of Revenue
that they are no longer collecting our taxes. RDS/AlaTax will be
forwarding to you the necessary forms in which you will need to
properly report your sales tax. In there are any questions

Departmental Mission: To provide accurate and dependable services to the citizens, elected officials and department directors.
Responsibilities:
The City Clerks Office is the information center for the City of Prichard. The clerk’s office serves as a hub for all of the city important documents, for example: Ordinances and Resolutions. The clerk’s office is responsible for issuing and collecting monies for Business Licenses, Dog or Cat Licenses and Municipal Service Fees. The City Clerks office also performs data entry for processing the city payroll and issuing of payroll checks.
Citizens who would like to appear before the City Council, Planning Board or Board of Adjustments can complete and submit those applications in the clerk’s office.
Goals:
To provide timely and accurate services
To maintain and document all city records
To provide information on city services to all citizens
To ensure that businesses are adhering to the Business License Ordinance 1706
To ensure that city collected taxes are paid in accordance with applicable ordinances.
