The City of Prichard will hold an Environmental Town Hall Meeting on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at City Hall, 216 East Prichard Avenue. This event is sponsored by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Community Action for a Renewed Environment (CARE) Program and the Brownfields Program, in partnership with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM). During this meeting, the artist renderings from the Community Visioning Workshops will be unveiled and discussed. Other topics for discussion include the City of Prichard Brownfields program, a presentation called “Training on Environmental Issues in Local Communities” presented by ADEM and the ranking results of the environmental issues identified and ranked by the citizens of Prichard through the CARE process.
